Product Description

The Mighty Armory XMA Hold Down Die is a precision tool for smooth and consistent swaging or priming of a case. The primary function of the die is to hold down and stabilize the floor of the case firmly in position during the swaging or priming process, ensuring consistent and reliable operation.

Designed for use in the swaging or priming station in an auto progressive press like Dillon 650 and Dillon 1100. The die is universal.

The shaft and hold down tip is precision machined, hardened tool steel build to last with perfect vertical alignment. 

The XMA Hold Down Die includes a spring and case guide which centers your case to ensure perfect alignment. 

The steel case guide is newly designed to accommodate case sizes from .380 up to .308 case length.

The die is precision machined from alloy with a sleek black anodized finish. The XMA Hold Down Die combines durability with reliability when swaging and priming.

The modular die design allows for a quick change to decap by simply swapping the hold down tip to a decapping pin.

    Instructions

    Click Link for XM Series Case Hold Down Die Instructions

    Step 1: Disassemble the die.

    Step 2: Add a touch of purple vibra-tite #111 or blue loctite between the shoulder of the shaft and hold down tip. Snug it with a 3/16 wrench. Do not over tighten or it may result in a snapped threaded shaft in the main shaft.

    Step 3: Drop the optional case guide into the die body. Drop the shaft through the threaded insert and slide the long spring over the shaft. Turn into the die and hand tighten.

    Step 4: Hand tighten the cap and spring onto the die.

    Step 5: Place the case onto the shell plate. Turn the die into the press station. until the die contacts the case floor. Tighten the die down 1/4 turn.

    Step 6: Lock the die down into place with the locknut provided. You should hear the sound of the snap when depriming, which is the primer flicker spring flicking the primer out of the flash hole!
